I have seen much worse than Park's cartoons in the Tacoma News Tribune and the Seattle Post Intelligencer newspapers.
Part of the educatonal time spent in institutes of higher learning is to become aware of the nuances of society. All people do not think or express themselves exactly the same way and as such it would be unexcusable for a few to dictate to the majority what can be expressed and what cannot.
In this day and age, people have to walk on eggs to be able to express his or her feelings without have the fear of being sued for slander or being liable for emotional damage to others, many of who are seeking some sensational gratitude.
The list could go on and on. Why be pretentious about things? In real life we all have diverse feelings and attitudes so why not express them as long as they are not vulgar?
What about the war pictures and sexual exploitation of others that are found in magazines and news papers regularly?
Just a few of my thoughts.
